after giving birth. And, umm, I wasn’t carrying nine. A little thinner in the waist, but not skinny at all really from feeling her ribs etc.
I am so proud of Lizard. She’s being a GREAT mama dog!

Hi! I’m Jeri Lamy…wife to Dave, mom to Charlie (b. 2004) and Jack (b. 2007). One of my hobbies over the years has been dog shows, both conformation and agility, and we fell in love with the Cardigan Welsh Corgi many years ago when our first, Brady, joined our house. We have a limited number of dogs and they are our house pets (my current limit is 3…someone remind me to change this if I ever talk myself and Dave into a 4th, m’kay?)…my dogs are my hobby, not my livelihood. I recently raised my first litter after 10 years of involvement in the breed and much careful planning.

I think I DID have that expression on my face, though – giddy relief at not being pregnant anymore! You’re doing a great job, Jeri; she looks wonderful.

Lindy came back so fast that I called her the Heidi Klum of dog moms, looks like Lizzard is on the same program.

What a gorgeous girl LIzzie is. My favorite combo – B/W w. brindle points. How can these help but be stunning puppies, given this pairing!

Wow, what a difference a day makes! Bet she can get up and down the stairs now without being carried.

Not gaunt at all. Very nice!

“Not gaunt”, well she was carrying a little extra weight to start which probably helped on that end. Now she looks great.
Just wait for 8 weeks though . . .

Wow! Lizzie looks wonderful. I think having them have a little “padding” before breeding is helpful. I tried and tried to put weight on Hannah while she was carrying her litter of 10 without much success. Right after whelping I was embarassed to take her outside for potty for fear one of my neighbors might call the SPCA on me! She did, however, make up the weight pretty fast thanks to a round the clock all you can eat raw buffet.
