And, re: the question of sedation for a 14.5 year old dog...if he's got no other issues, absolutely! We had to remove bladder stones from our 14 year old dog. He came through just like a dog half his age, no residual issues and continued to live another 2.5 years! Definitely sending Brady good thoughts.

We spent tonight in the ER with Cody (our 14.5 year old). He has a mass in the side of his face. Cytology doesn't show anything. We're keeping an eye on him. I *know* how scary that is! Traum's had a full recovery, and we're doing physical rehab with him now. It's HELL on my wallet, but worth the world to me to keep him healthy, and moving as many years are possible. Crossing fingers it's very minor, and problems don't persist :) Poor you, and him!
