One of my original thoughts for a naming theme for this litter had been Schoolhouse Rock song titles…in which case, Piper (litter name Pickles) was going to be named Naughty Number Nine!  It would have, ahem, suited her, but in the end the theme was changed to “Charmed”, so she was saved from a naughty moniker.  Miss Piper was the last of the 9 to be born, and came out blue and limp.  My heart sank for this lovely black girl marked JUST like her mama, but we rubbed, and rubbed, and rubbed, and she came around!  Piper is an extremely silly girl with a lot of love for life.  We took weekly “stacked” photos of the litter, and Piper’s pictures often included a VIGOROUSLY wagging tail.    We often joked that some day Piper would wag her own butt off.

I was thrilled to be able to send this happy, silly girl to my friend Traci Genaw in Arizona.  Piper lives with Traci’s small pack of Cardigans and has just started to hit the show rings!
