Ah, Vegas!  The first born in a litter of pretty good-sized puppies, he nonetheless was the largest and most full of life from day 1 on.  I named him “Vegas” after birth because he was large and flashy, with a striking black mask and big white collar.  Little did I know how well the name would suit him!  I think there’s usually one puppy in any litter that really grabs a lot of people’s attention, and Vegas was it, baby.  He might as well have had a neon sign over his head saying “Show Dog”, and indeed he is…he lives with Joyce in Minnesota who has started taking him into the show ring.  In the meantime, he has 40 acres of farmland to help out on and a couple of Cardigan and collie friends to keep him busy while he grows up.

Vegas started his show career with a bang by winning a 3 point major his first day out.  He followed that up with a few minor points, and now sits at 7 points with a major.
